This month, heads of state and top diplomats gather at the United Nations to consult on the biggest challenges facing the world. At the same time, leaders in government, civil society, business, as well as young people, will be in New York to contribute their voices and ideas.
Four years ago, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, or Global Goals, to create a better world. These Goals have the potential to end poverty, fight inequality and protect the planet with a timeframe that reflects the urgency of these issues. Now it’s up to all of us—governments, businesses, civil society and the general public—to make this vision a reality.

Timed to coincide with the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, Global Goals Week 2019 takes place from 21 to 30 September. And while the General Assembly meets at UN Headquarters in New York, Global Goals Week meets you where you are.
Collaboration is what makes Global Goals Week tick. With more than 30 partners, the week brings people together to trade ideas and forge stronger partnerships for sustainable development.
In the summit’s 10th year we’re tackling the most important issue of our time: climate change. Global leaders, activists and businesses will gather for a day of constructive dialogue and activity.
We are listening to young voices as they increasingly engage on climate change. This global platform will showcase solutions and work with world leaders.
As the effects of a warming planet become more and more obvious, the High Level Political Form will discuss how to step up its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.
A key feature of Global Goals Week is that it brings these important discussions outside of UN walls, beyond New York City and beyond the usual crowd.
